As a Senior Automotive Technician, you'll tackle advanced diagnosis and complex mechanical and electrical repairs, getting the job done right the first time in line with manufacturer and company standards and MAP guidelines. What We Offer<ul><li>Competitive pay, including bonus or commission opportunities</li><li>Paid training and hands-on development</li><li>Medical, dental, and vision benefits</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Employee discounts</li><li>Career advancement opportunities, including growth toward Lead Technician and technical leadership roles</li></ul>What You’ll Do<ul><li>Perform thorough Digital Vehicle and Multi-Point Inspections with accurate measurements, notes, photos, and prioritized safety findings.</li><li>Lead diagnosis of complex mechanical, electrical, drivability, intermittent, and comeback concerns using scan tools, meters, and systematic testing.</li><li>Complete advanced electrical, drivability, and major mechanical repairs to manufacturer and company standards.</li><li>Validate every repair with road tests, relearns/resets, and safety-critical checks to help prevent repeat failures.</li><li>Support quality control by verifying repairs and flagging process gaps that drive comebacks.</li><li>Explain repair options, priorities, risks, and expected outcomes clearly to Store Managers and Service Advisors.</li><li>Help explain complex issues to customers to build trust and confidence.</li><li>Mentor and coach other technicians, sharing diagnostic and repair best practices.</li><li>Model safe work practices, use required PPE, maintain tools and equipment, and follow company policies and shop procedures.</li></ul>What We’re Looking ForRequired:The right candidate is an experienced technician who can diagnose independently, communicate clearly, take pride in repair quality, and help raise the standard for the shop.<ul><li>5+ years of automotive technician experience performing diagnosis and repair across multiple vehicle systems, with demonstrated ability to handle complex repairs independently.</li><li>Advanced diagnostic capability using scan tools, meters, and service information, with the ability to create and follow a structured test plan.</li><li>ASE certifications appropriate to assigned work, or equivalent demonstrated competency, with commitment to ongoing training.</li><li>Valid driver’s license and successful completion of a Motor Vehicle Records check.</li><li>State Inspector License, in applicable locations, or ability to obtain and maintain as required by the store.</li><li>Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends as needed.</li><li>Must be 18 years of age or older.</li></ul>Preferred:<ul><li>ASE Master Technician certification or multiple ASE A-series certifications.</li><li>L1 Advanced Engine Performance Specialist certification.</li><li>Experience with advanced drivability diagnosis, electrical diagnosis, and interpreting scan data, including freeze frame and live data.</li><li>Experience performing quality checks, comeback support, dispatch support, or other advanced repair services.</li><li>Leadership or mentoring experience with the ability to coach others on standard work and diagnostic best practices.</li><li>High school diploma, equivalent, technical school, or vocational training.</li></ul>Growth & DevelopmentThis role is a key step in the technical career path. Senior Automotive Technicians build advanced diagnostic expertise, support repair quality, and mentor developing technicians. This experience can support growth toward Lead Automotive Technician, technical training, or other field leadership opportunities.
