About the Role
Sierra Medical Center seeks a skilled Registered Nurse for our PACU on a per diem basis. The RN provides post-anesthesia care for surgical patients, including continuous assessment, airway and hemodynamic monitoring, pain and nausea control, and safe transitions to the next level of care. The nurse will collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered, high-quality care. Ideal candidates bring strong critical thinking, PACU or critical care experience, and a commitment to safety, compassion, and clinical excellence in a fast-paced acute care setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide post-anesthesia care for surgical patients in PACU
- Collaborate with surgeons/anesthesiologists/interdisciplinary teams
- Monitor airway/hemodynamics and manage pain/nausea
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse license
- Experience in PACU or critical care
- BLS/ACLS certified
