Occupational Therapy Assistant - Inpatient Rehabilitation

About the Role
Join Encompass Health Corporation and contribute to a holistic, patient-first approach in one of our inpatient rehabilitation hospitals, or within a community setting as part of our home health or hospice teams. As an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA), you will work under the supervision of our licensed occupational therapists, assisting patients in recovering and improving their basic motor functions and reasoning abilities. You will help tailor rehabilitation activities to each patient's needs and capabilities and play a vital role in implementing personalized therapeutic interventions designed to regain independence.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients under supervision to implement occupational therapy activities in inpatient rehabilitation or home health settings.
- Support therapists in delivering OT interventions to improve motor function and independence.
- Contribute to patient-centered rehab plans and activities.
Qualifications
- Certification as OTA or equivalent
- State OTAssistant license where required
- Experience in inpatient rehabilitation preferred
