About the Role
Help needed to take care of male Quadriplegic in Bloomington, near Normandale College (98th and France Ave). Help needed with transfers and occasional bathing and some help preparing meals. He works from home and uses a motorized wheelchair but needs assistance transferring in/out of bed via a lift, dressing, and showering some days. Preferences for a caregiver who is comfortable with pets, as he has a dog. Schedule consists of morning transfer before 7 a.m. and evening transfer, (time varies) so this is a good opportunity as a side job. Care is needed for a specific time period but can evolve into more hours, mainly on the weekends.
Responsibilities
- Assist with patient transfers
- Assistance with bathing/dressing/showering
- Meal preparation
Qualifications
- Caregiver experience in disability/heavy assistance
- Ability to operate patient lifts
- Comfort with pets
