Commercial Insurance Underwriter
About the Role
FM is seeking a Production Underwriter to assess commercial insurance submissions and make sound, timely underwriting decisions. You will review applicant details, loss history, and supporting documentation; evaluate exposures; and determine appropriate pricing, coverage, limits, deductibles, and conditions within established guidelines. Build productive relationships with brokers and agents, communicate decisions clearly, and partner with claims, actuarial, product, and sales teams to resolve questions and improve results. Monitor portfolio performance, identify trends, maintain accurate records, and follow regulatory and internal requirements. The appropriate scope will vary by experience level (I, II, III, or Senior).
